In addition, to participate in the social event on September 14 2024 we ask you to pay a nominal fee of $15.  The nominal fee is required for planning purposes. Guest fee $50. Tickets will not be sold at the venue. Under 21 not admitted.

Educational program registration is $150 USD for members and $250 for non-members. Registration for the educational program is carried out separately from the main conference.

Dating back as far as 1270 and classified as Ancient Monument of National Importance and Graded II listed building, the fascinating ruins of Weoley Castle reveal the remains of a fortified manor house originally built as a hunting lodge by the Lords of Dudley. And it is only a short walk from University campus.
Birmingham was certainly not an important town during the Roman era, but if you look carefully there are still remnants of the Roman presence scattered in the city like the Metchley Roman Fort in front of the University of Birmingham Medical School, or the Roman road in Icknield Street.

Registration additional notes

  • After you register to the conference it may take few days to activate your fNIRS2024 subscription. You will be able to see the limited access webpages only after your subscription is activated. Subscription is done manually and you will get an email when activated. If you cannot access those pages after 2 days email
  • Postdoctoral fellows pay the regular fee
  • Students must provide a letter from their advisor confirming student status
  • In-person registration includes access to all presentations, coffee breaks, lunch, and reception. It also includes access to all virtual conference components
  • Virtual only registration includes live-streaming zoom access to the conference and chat and access to online posters viewing.


For the society members rates, the membership must be valid through September 15th, 2024.
